Dear Friends,

Upland will be having an important election this November. Although my term is not yet up, both Mayor John Pomierski and Councilman Ken Willis are up for reelection and I strongly urge you to give them your support. With the teamwork and leadership of John and Ken, we have recovered from the ‘doom and gloom’ of eight years ago. This is because John and Ken are both colleagues I can trust and work with on behalf of Upland. Mayor John Pomierski and Councilman Ken Willis share my focus on increasing Upland’s sales tax base so that we can have both balanced budgets and excellent city services.

We have fought hard for more and better street improvements, sidewalk repairs, and tree trimming. Both John and Ken have strong records in Public Safety, and that is why they have been endorsed by the Upland Firefighters Association and the Upland Police Officers Association. Also, the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin has encouraged Upland voters to reelect Mayor John Pomierski and Councilman Ken Willis on November 4th.

There are several other local offices that are part of this election and I would like to offer my support and endorsement for the following candidates: Steve Frazee and Linda Angona for Upland Unified School District Board of Trustees; Terry Catlin for Inland Empire Utilities Agency Division 1 Director; and Gary Schwary for Upland City Treasurer. They all are great friends of mine that are committed to working within our community and they serve on many volunteer service organizations.
